Miss Alyssa Boyle

Instructor

Miss Boyle started Shodin Ji Do karate in 2017 and is now a 5th degree brown belt as of August 2022. All the instructors of higher rank than her moved away from our Enid dojo, so in August 2022 I was given the dojo by Sensei Re’Elle Crowell and Master Haggerton. She is an active Christian and her hobbies are karate, reading, gymnastics and playing piano. Miss Boyle was born in California but raised in Oklahoma for the last 12 years. She has five siblings and 4 of them are in Shodin Ji Do karate as well. She plans to graduate high school in 2023 and move on to college to become a midwife. Miss Boyle will test for her black belt in the next year and become the first black belt trained outside of New Mexico in decades.

WHY KARATE?

Why Karate? Traditional Okinawan Karate teaches not only self defense, but discipline, self-control and manners. It instills a lifelong learning ethic in its students. Students are taught lessons that transcend physical fitness and affect every facet of life. Students build positive relationships and have positive role models in class. Rules are strict and traditional, but the rewards are tremendous. Karate can be a life changing study that lasts life long.
